Care Giver Support Group

1st Friday of every month, 2:30 - 4:00 p.m.

Providing care to a loved one is challenging. This often involves unexpected and unwanted feelings and thoughts. Mix together worry for a loved one, some anger and frustration, a bit of guilt or shame, limited relief, and a few sleepless nights; the caregiver becomes isolated and as a result more easily overwhelmed. This can precipitate acute health concerns or aggravate previously managed chronic health issues.  In breaking the isolation, Thamesview Family Health Team offers a service to address the sometimes difficult experiences associated with giving care, provides an opportunity to problem solve, share resources, and to promote self-care. [drop-in, no need to refer]

For more information, please contact 519-354-0070 x.602.
